Annacurra faced up to St Mary’s in the replay of the first round championship match after the first match was drawn on a scoreline of Annacurra 1-13, St Mary’s 2-10. Again the faithful who followed the Green and Gold headed up to Baltinglas to watch the second outing against the group team from the South.

Match Report – Annacurra draw with St Mary’s in Championship opener
The backdrop to Annacurra’s opening Senior Football Championship match against St Mary’s was a blissful weather conditions. While the morning of the match was a little cooler with predicted temperatures of 19 degrees and some cloud cover in Baltinglass where the match was to be played the later afternoon kick off happened under beautiful conditions without much protection for the players against the sun. It was going to be an important day for the water carriers.
Colm Doyle, Rest in Peace
It is with deep sadness that Annacurra GAA club have learned of the untimely death of Colm Doyle.
Colm played both football and hurling with Annacurra but his largest contribution was as the goalkeeper for the 1991 Annacurra team that won the County Intermediate Championship.
At this difficult time our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones.
