Foundation level coaching course

The club hosted a Foundation level coaching course in the Community Centre recently, to get all our juvenile team mentors trained up for
the coming year. Colm Gaskin gave the course which was attended by the following, Neil Fitzgerald, Deborah Doyle, Brian Moran, Charlot Doyle,
Brian Barnes, Ann-Marie Doyle, Angus Bate, Declan Byrne & Martin Fitzgerald. Hopefully all will be involved with the various teams
during the coming year.

Tickets are currently on sale for the Annacurra Dinner Dance on February 27th in the Woodenbridge Hotel.
Tickets are €35 each and this will include, dinner and a performance from the band ‘Firestar’.If you’re interested in buying a ticket please call William Codd at 0879841720.

On Friday night Annacurra bet Aughrim in the Dawn Lacey trophy. They now proceed into the the final where they will face Avondale.

AGM was held on 30/12/2008

Chairman Martin Fitzgerald thanked everybody for the work they put in
during 2008, especially with running the Lotto. He praised the players
for their committment during the year in winning the Div. 2 league and
said that they were unfortunate not to win the intermediate
champsionship and that hopefully next year we can go the whole way. The
Juvenile club had a good year also he thanked everybody involved with
the various teams.

Paddy Molloy will again be the team trainer for 2009.

A special call is being made for 2009 to increase the sales of Lotto
tickets and for more people to help out with selling tickets and
running the draws as this is our main source of income into the club.

This year Annacurra will have a Dinner Dance the information is as follows:

Congratulations

The club would like to say well done to Alan Byrne and Frank Clune who have helped Wicklow progress to the semi finals of The O Byrne Cup.

Both players played a part in the wins over Carlow and Dublin.

The Semi Final of the O Byrne Cup will take place on sunday 18th February at 2pm in Droghdea.

Also we would like to wish Ian McDonald and Shane O Keeffe the best of luck in their match for the County Vocational Schools team.

They are playing against Kildare in the Leinster championship. The game is being played in Staplestown in Kildare on Saturday 20th of February at 1pm.
