Another Win In Championship For Annacurra

Annacurra look like they have booked their place in the Semi final with a win over Valleymount. It is now 3 wins out of 3 so far in the championship which puts Annacurra in a commanding position in the Championship Table. The final score was 5-5 to 2-6 in favour of Annacurra. With a strong wind against Annacurra in the 1st half, Valleymount were unfortunate not to of seen themselves 5 or 6 points up at half time if they would of took their chances. Annacurra proved by far the better team blowing Valleymount away with their goals in the 2nd half. Pierce O Brien was shown red late on in the match when he retaliated witha Valleymount player. The scorers on the day were Clive Horan (3 points), Frank Clune (2-1), Pierce O Brien (1 goal), Sean O Neill (1 points) and Alan Horan (2 goals). It was a solid display all round but Annacurra played far from their potential and will look to cut out the little mistakes in their game.

Good Luck!!

Best of luck to the Wicklow senior footballers on Saturday when they play Antrim in the Tommy Murphy cup final.

Also a best of luck to Alan Byrne who is associated with Annacurra.

The intermediate team kept up their momentum in this years intermediate campaign with a 1-12 to 1-3 victory over Knockananna in Baltinglass.
