Over the coming time we are trying to incorporate special features into the website. Firstly, we would like to record a detailed account on the life of Ciaran Shannon. We are currently seeking help with this and if there are any stories or ideas you would like to share feel free to email us at annacurragaaclub.com@gmail.com Your help is greatly appreciated.

Club news
Tomorrow, the 25th July sees a historic day for Alan Byrne and his county team mates as they take on Kildare for a place in the All-Ireland 1/4 finals. Wicklow have played 5 games this year in the championship, which is a record for the county and Annacurra GAA club are proud to have Alan in the squad. Unfortunatley injury has ruled Alan out of the last few matches but hopefully he will be back to full fitness soon. For those who cannot make the trip to Portlaoise, the game is on TV3 at 6-30. Best of luck Micko and Wicklow.
An under age blitz takes place tomorrow morning at 10 am in the football pitch. It would be great to get some support for the Annacurra footballers of the future.
Ciaran shannon’s months mind mass will take place tomorrow night at half 7 in St.Bridget’s church, Annacurra.
Seamus O'Rourke
Annacurra GAA club lost a great fan on Wednesday with the passing of Seamus O’Rourke. Seamus from Ballycoogue followed Annacurra with his wife Molly and if there was ever confusion over the score in a match you could be sure Seamus and Molly would have it right. It was with great sadness that the club learned of his death and Annacurra GAA would like to pass it’s condolences onto his wife Molly, brother Mick and other family and friends. We would also like to express sympathy to the Clune family who were very close to Seamus.
