Annacurra players win schools titles

Congratulations to the Annacurra juvenile and adult members who all played their parts in winning the county schools titles for Carnew. It was a clean sweep for the Wexford boarder school as they won First year, Junior and Senior titles.

Roan Lynch and Brian Shannon were part of the first year team that defeated Avondale 2-9 to 1-1 in the final with Roan playing a key role in midfield.

Robert Fitzgerald and Dean Barnes were at the heart of Carnews defence in goal and full back as they captured the Junior schools title as they bet Avondale 6-9 to 1-10.

Finally, Martin O’Brien captained the Carnew side to the county title, having missed out on the Leinster title to eventual All-Ireland champions Ferbane earlier in the year! Also on the team were Stephen Murphy and goalscoring hero James Keogh and Robert Fitzgerald added another county medal to his collection.

Well done to all concerned
